Su means Hand and Jok means Foot in Korean language. Since we use hands and feet in this Therapy, it is named Sujok Therapy

According to Sujok principles our hands and feet are complete replica of our bodies. Any malfunctioning in any part of body results in a tender spot on the h and or foot, which is called its correspondence point. Once this point is stimulated, treated, it can cure the malfunctioning of the body part. Our body functions with a kind of energy, called Qi, Chi, Jeevani Shakti, Pran Vayu, etc. When this is blocked in the body, it makes that part where it is blocked, malfunction. When this blockage is removed, the person gets cured.

So to diagnose where the energy is blocked and to remove the same, Sujok Therapy is used.

In earlier Acupressure, Reflexology systems, the complete body was mapped on both the hands/feet combined. But in Sujok Therapy, complete body map is there on each hand and foot. That is you have 4 alternative bodies to work on as per Basic Correspondence System. In fact, there are many more correspondence systems.

There are various systems of diagnosing a particular disease which will be explained. Treatment is done in Sujok using Microneedles, Micro Magnets (like Star Magnets, Byol meridian Magnets (N&S), Bar Magnets, Chakra Magnets), Micro & Mini Moxa, Rollers, Ring Massagers, Inserters used for inserting needles, Seeds and many natural materials.
